Immerse yourself in the beauty of sea and sky in this expressive Glow & Flow workshop series, exploring light, colour, movement and atmosphere through ink and watercolour.

Inspired by the techniques of great artists including J. M. W. Turner and Maggie Hambling, we’ll explore:

• Sunsets & skies
• Seascapes & waves
• Landscapes

All inspired by the techniques of great artists.

Also suitable for beginners, this follow-on course builds on the techniques you’ve already begun exploring, taking your watercolour practice further into atmosphere, light, movement and expressive landscape.

Through supportive guidance, demonstrations and time to explore, you’ll develop confidence in working more intuitively—loosening control and allowing the flow of water and pigment to guide your work. We’ll explore layering, mark-making, and creating a sense of depth and energy within your paintings.

REVIEWS

“Thank you again for yet another amazing workshop /class on Saturday! It built so well on the discovery and learning from the previous sessions, yet would work perfectly as a standalone session for anybody, regardless of any previous or prior experience. I gained so much from it as I’m sure did the rest of the group!

I previously described the experience and environment you create as:
CELEBRATORY, INSPIRATIONAL and UTTERLY LIBERATING. And, on sharing my work on social media have concluded each time with the tagline:
#justwhenyouthoughttheseworkshopscouldntgetanybetter
Each time you’ve managed to do just that!

Your technique sharing, together with examples of works by yourself and other artists, both celebrates and demonstrates the infinite possibilities of each medium and is especially creatively liberating towards creating a piece, without the limitations which we often place on ourselves by relying on default ways of working. It’s certainly freed up mine!

The pre workshop information is incredibly helpful, outlining the framework of the session, materials and prethinking required. You also create a working environment within the room that fosters trust and enables the participants to explore ways of working which are then celebrated and shared within the room. I never fail to be amazed that, given the framework provided, you are nevertheless able to ‘read’ the creative needs of each member of the group and adapt your personal input to help them reach it. Amazing!

A wonderful experience. Thank you Lorna 🤗. Dave R
